How do you quickly reach your favorite websites?

by Jennifer, on November 16th, 2009

Target favorite websitesLike me, you certainly have 5-10 websites that you are visiting several times a day. For my part, those are Facebook, CNN, Perez Hilton, Jean-Marc Morandini’s blog (a blog about media in France), Google and Wordreference (for French to English translations). Most often it is a very quick visit: just checking for new stuff or searching for something.

Seedcamp Week applications are open!

by Rodolphe, on July 30th, 2009

seedcampSeedcamp Week is the main Seedcamp event that will be held in London from September 21st to 25th. There, twenty lucky early stage start-ups are going to experience an intensive mentoring week where they will have a unique opportunity to be challenged on their vision, product, roadmap… and to build strong relationships with world-class experienced advisors. On the top of that, Seedcamp will invest in 5 teams at the end of the week.

Of course we are going to apply to the event. Having participated to two Mini-Seedcamp (Paris and Berlin) we have been amazed by how much a single mentoring day could improve our business. Then we can barely imagine how much we can get from a whole week event!

Applications are here.

To be lazy or not to be

by Vincent, on March 30th, 2009

Between the great idea you had and a working product there are huge steps it is hard to be aware of at the beginning. The idea is crucial, as you don’t want to spend the next following years fighting for something useless. But is it certainly not everything and it will most probably change several times until you get to your final product.
In the meantime you will have to find partners, develop a prototype, raise money, recruit employees, convince beta testers and many other tasks you will discover on your way. Your are facing problems in fields you know nothing about and you must fix them quickly. That is your daily job. So how one should proceed? We tested several approaches and made many mistakes and we think it could be useful to share them with you.

About pitching (or the complete Seedcamp feedback)

by Rodolphe, on March 24th, 2009

I think it is time to write our feedback on the Seedcamp day. Seedcamp was a really unique event as it provided us the opportunity to meet more than 50 experts in our field (entrepreneurs, VCs, angels, consultants…) and to be challenged on our vision. We have had dozens of insightful and relevant feedback on our product, our business model, our strategy… but I think that the best practice we experienced there was the “art of pitching”.
